JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. is a company dedicated to selling OFFAL AND TRIPE PRODUCTS from cows, sheep, and pigs. It is located in the MERCAMADRID Meat Market. Its facilities cover more than 10,000 sq. ft., consisting of a cutting room, a packaging room, a freezing tunnel, 2 loading/unloading docks, and exhibition and direct sales to professionals. The facilities include state-of-the-art machinery specifically designed to prepare, process and package the products. We operate a fleet of vehicles in order to provide our customers with fast service, ensuring the quality and excellence of our products.

JOSE LUIS GANCEDO S.L. is a company that is constantly improving and expanding, at both the national and international levels. We have expanded our facilities in order to offer our customers better service and a new warehouse was opened in Villalba covering more than 32,000 square feet, featuring a cutting room and a freezing tunnel.

QUALITY

Our products are obtained from various slaughterhouses, under strict hygienic standards, and transported by our own means to our headquarters in Mercamadrid, where we proceed with the processing and handling (packaging, filleting, freezing, palletizing, etc.). Our customers include superstores, supermarkets, and small shops.

JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. conducts rigorous health and hygiene checks to ensure the quality and traceability of its products, from their point of origin to the end consumer. It has implemented a quality control system based on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) that is verified by its quality assurance department and regularly monitored by the City of Madrid’s veterinary services.

These quality management systems are certified as compliant with the ISO 9001 standard.

The company’s tremendous growth has entailed the export of its products to different countries within the EU, thereby strengthening commercial relations at the national and international levels. JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. has been certified as meeting the terms of PPC/SAE-51 (Protocol for the Certification of Self-Monitoring Systems Specific for Exportation), complying with the rules required for exportation between countries.

HISTORY

JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. is a third-generation business dedicated to selling tripe and offal products. It was founded in 1903 as a family business and, after enjoying a major expansion in recent years, has grown to the company it is today. We are currently a leading company in the sector, at both the national and international levels, due to the excellence of our products and an outstanding, hardworking team.

The business started out as a family-run tripe and offal shop located in Madrid’s Mercado del Carmen. As the years went by it continued to undergo a major expansion, which implied an increasing need for supply. As a result, it acquired a permit to take animals to the Legazpi Municipal Slaughterhouse, where a module license was obtained, and the first modular refrigerator chamber was installed. Later, in 1985, it worked with three slaughterhouses in Madrid. In recent years its business volume has increased as a result of relationships established with superstores, which required the creation of the company’s first independent cutting and packaging room and the launch of a line of vacuum-packed products and trays ready for the end consumer, which have been very well received. With the growth of the business, refrigerated trucks were added to ensure proper product distribution.

In 1999 the MERCAMADRID MEAT MARKET was created, which is where Jose Luis Gancedo relocated his cutting and packaging rooms, located in the finest facilities available and operated under the constant supervision of the City of Madrid’s veterinary services.

The business became JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. (L.L.C.) and continues to grow at a steady pace. Its packaging machinery has been updated and a new line of hermetically packaged products created, which allows for distribution throughout Spain.  It also has begun exporting.

Today JOSE LUIS GANCEDO, S.L. is a leading company that has received various accreditations, compliant with the ISO 9001 and “Madrid Excelente” standards.
